Well, I completed the Shitty First Draft of my book.
On Tuesday I walked to the print shop - IN THE RAIN - and had it printed out and put into a cardboard box. Not because it’s worth the paper it’s printed on, but because I couldn’t believe I wrote all those words and wanted to see proof.
Before you start showering me with praise, please know this: I cannot stress enough how shitty this draft is. I’m not being self-effacing. I know for a fact that half of these pages will never see the light of day. And I also know for a fact that I’ll have to write many, many new pages to replace the ones I throw away.
